⇒ R&D Group Leader for Vision & Web Technologies (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Group Leader in the area of Vision & Web-Technologies, to join our dedicated team. Your contribution will enable our customers to use our product better, easier and more efficiently. You are passionate to lead and develop SCRUM teams under your responsibility? You like to solve challenges in collaboration with internal and external customers and our agile development teams? Then we are interested in you!

You will be responsible for:

  • the overall output of your team as well as for the product features in the areas of competence covered by the team members, planning of personnel, resources, and priorities within the group including the monitoring and checking of effort booking for correctness and completeness
  • disciplinary management (vacation planning and preparation for approval by department management, employee appraisals, support during job interviews, motivator and first contact person in case of problems)
  • continuous guidance, coaching and support of team members
  • negotiating the feature backlog and prioritization with stakeholders
  • managing suppliers providing software components and/or tools in the area of your group´s competence

Need to have:

  • Knowledge of software development processes and agile methods
  • Basic programming knowledge in at least one object-oriented programming language or in at least one state of the art web programming/scripting language (e.g.: TypeScript, C++, PHP, etc.)
  • Solid MS Office skills
  • Techniques in moderation
  • Leadership and teamwork skills
  • Organizational skills / time management
  • Stress resistance and ability to improvise
  • High affinity to user experience including state of the art “look & feel” of visualizations and screens on different devices and device types (e.g.: mobile devices)
  • Structured, team oriented way of working
  • Technical education or very good technical perception
  • Very good written and spoken German and English

Nice to have:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience with programming- and scripting languages like TypeScript, JavaScript, C++ or frontend-technologies like HTML, XML, JSON and CSS
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in leading a software development team in the SCADA industry
  • Experience with WinCC OA
  • Basic knowledge of web technology and web architecture
  • Experience in high-quality UI design, as well as user experience


Working hours
: Full-time with a flexible schedule (flexi account)

Place of employment: Austria: Eisenstadt or Linz, partial possibility for home office (after successful break-in)

Entry: immediately available

Salary: The monthly salary for this position (38,5h/week) is € 4.500,-. Depending on qualifications, there is a willingness to overpay.

  • Independent and autonomous way of working (problem analysis, test, bug fixing)
  • A Higher Technical Education Institute, University of Applied Sciences or Technical University degree in automation, computer science or information technology

  • completed projects that used technologies that will be more relevant to us in the future
  • Experience with software development processes and agile methods
